The College of Nutrition held an international symposium on Nutrition and Food Safety in December 2017. Participants from Japan and Thailand included: Hisanori Kato, Special Professor, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, University of Tokyo; Hiroshi Akiyama, National Institute of Health Sciences, Japan; Hitoshi Shirakawa, Associate Professor, Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences of Tohoku University; Rewadee Chongsuwat, Director, Department of Nutrition, School of Public Health, Mahidol University; Toru Tobe, Professor, Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University, and Xin-yi Zhang, Assistant Professor, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyoto University

These seminar exchanges promote future research, product development and teaching of food safety and nutrition while improving professional standards. Such activities fulfill the college’s objective: “Safe and nutritious food guards the nation’s health.”
