2024 Taiwan Higher Education Exposition & Job Fair @ Chennai: A Successful Event for International Collaboration

From September 23 to 25, 2024, the Taiwan Higher Education Exposition & Job Fair was held in Chennai, India, bringing together representatives from various Taiwanese universities and Indian students eager to explore higher education opportunities abroad.

The event featured an education fair, where prospective students learned about studying in Taiwan, including scholarship opportunities, academic programs, and career prospects. In addition to the fair, university representatives visited several esteemed institutions, including:

• Indian Institute of Technology–Madras (IIT–Madras)
• SRM Institute of Science and Technology
• Vellore Institute of Technology
• Anna University

As part of the exposition, Prof. Syed Abdul Shabbir from the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Informatics at Taipei Medical University (TMU) delivered a presentation on the topic “Introducing TMU and Research on AI and Digital Healthcare.” His talk showcased TMU’s cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence and digital healthcare, offering exciting prospects for students interested in the intersection of healthcare and technology.

These visits and presentations fostered valuable partnerships and strengthened academic collaboration between Taiwanese and Indian institutions.
