2025 New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program at TMU is designed for individuals who are considering a career development in healthcare and want to earn transferable academic credits.

【In response to the high volume of applications for the New Southbound Program, we have decided to extend the application process deadline by one week (from 4, July, 2025 to 11, July, 2025) to provide more qualified students with the opportunity to participate.】

Coursework

  • Medicine-related courses and/or laboratory training (11 hour/week)
  • Mandarin courses (6 hour/week)
  • Cultural activities
ELIGIBILITY
  • Citizens of Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam
  • A strong background in biological science, Healthcare, laboratory work, or data analysis
  • Either a fourth-year undergraduate student or a holder of a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • English Proficiency:
    • NEW TOEIC: 785
    • IELTS: 5.5
    • TOEFL iBT: 72
    • TOEFL ITP: 543
    • PTE: 50
  • A financial statement showing a minimum balance of USD 1,000
  • This program is open to international students who are not receiving any form of financial aid or academic support from the Taiwanese government, related agencies, or educational institutions
FEES & STIPENDS

What is covered by the PROGRAM?

  • NTD 8,000 monthly stipend
  • Direct round-trip economy class airfares
  • Tuition Fee
  • Extracurricular Activities

If the period is less than one month, a prorated stipend will be provided based on the actual number of days.

What is covered by the STUDENTS?

  • Meals
  • Fees for flight ticketing service & baggage overweight, and oversize 
  • Personal expenses & incidentals
