When should I submit my VISA application?
All VISA applications are suspended due to the Taiwan travel restriction
Once the VISA application is open, a Ministry of Education (MOE) reference number for your VISA application will be sent to you via email.

Will I receive a hard copy of admission notice or enrollment notification?
Both documents could be downloaded from the admission system, no hard copy will be provided.

What if the VISA application need a hard copy of my admission notice/enrollment notification?
Policies response to COVID-19, the list of admitted student will be forward to the Taiwan overseas representative offices by MOE, therefore, it is not required to provide the hard copy to prove your admission.

What is the procedure to enter Taiwan under the MOE permission?
MOE has not yet announced the detailed policies for 2022, you may refer the page “2022 Special Entry Procedure for COVID-19 Outbreak” for general ideals,
we will keep update this page if any news from Taiwan government.

Will TMU or Taiwan government provide a subsidy or reimbursement for my quarantine related spending?
For now, the estimated quarantine related spending for each student is around USD 2400, students are responsible for the full amount.

When is the registration date?
The registration date is scheduled on September 8, 2022
Considering the quarantine hotel availability, student whose approved arrival date is before September 16 will be considered for late registration and their tuition fee payment deadline will be extended to September 16.

What if I cannot enter Taiwan before September 16?
To complete your registration.
1. Post all required document (passport, original copy of diploma & transcripts, authenticated copy of diploma & transcripts) to your intended program, friend or family in Taiwan. The person could complete the registration for you by resenting the mentioned documents to the Office of Academic Affairs no later than September 16.
2. Tuition fees must be paid in full by September 16.
TMU scholarship is only valid once you complete the registration process. TMU scholarship recipient may apply full tuition fee refund once you arrive Taiwan.

Where and when the orientation will be?
Orientation will be held online, invitation will be sent via email by the middle of August.

Courses start from September 12, 2022.

For personal reason, I am not able to join TMU this year, can I defer my admission to Spring/Fall 2023?
Admission offer could be deferred to 2023,  however, your TMU scholarship offer will be revoked.
Also, for those holding a deferred admission offer are not eligible for Taiwan scholarship application.

When can I apply for admission deferral?
Only those who submitted authenticated documents and have received their Enrollment Notification are eligible for deferral application.

Who should I contact with for admission deferral?
Contact your intended program and the Registration Section(registration@tmu.edu.tw) for deferral application.

If I decide not to join TMU this year, can I withdraw my admission and apply for 2023?
Yes to your question.
Contact International Students Section(iss@tmu.edu.tw) to withdraw your 2022 admission.

You can use the Admission Notice to extend your ARC up to 6 months, or extend your ARC up to 1 year with the Enrollment Notification.

Foreign resident who holds a resident certificate in Taiwan shall participate in National Health Insurance (NHI) after a full 6 months of residence (having continuously stayed in Taiwan for 6 months, or having stayed in Taiwan for actual 6 months with a departure for less than 30 days, and the actual duration of residence should exclude the number of days staying abroad).

Before your enrollment to the NHI, all student shall covered by a medical insurance for any possible medical spending during their study in Taiwan.
You may contact medical insurance companies in your home country for overseas medical insurance or travel insurance.
