No, your accommodation will be arranged and assigned by TMU if you entering Taiwan with MOE permission.
Options for my accommodation during the quarantine and self-health management periods
You will be assigned either
1. 11-day quarantine hotel & 7-day self-health management hotel
(The students who stay in a quarantine hotel for 18 days of quarantine shall implement home quarantine/isolation for 11 days and extend 7 days as self-health management without changing/leaving the room.)
OR
2. 11-day Taiwan government quarantine facility & 7-day self-health management hotel
First come, first served basis.
Note:
If your country is listed by Taiwan CDC as high-risk countries, you will be automatically assigned “11-day Taiwan government quarantine facility & 7-day self-health management hotel”
Difference between quarantine hotel and Taiwan government quarantine facility
Both will provide 3 meals per day.

If you are assigned for 11-day Taiwan government quarantine facility & 7-day self-health management hotel, your payment will be separated to two
1. Pay to TMU for the 11-day Taiwan government quarantine facility (Reservation is good for 2 business days)
2. Pay to TMU approved travel agency for the 7-day self-health management hotel (Reservation is good for 3 business days)
Payment methods,
1. 11-day Taiwan government quarantine facility: credit card or cash payment in Taiwan dollars
2. 7-day self-health management hotel: credit card, cash payment in Taiwan dollars or international wire transfer (not recommended, as it takes up to 7 business days to confirm your payment )
How many spots of Taiwan government quarantine facilities were reserved for international student?
Over 13,000 international students are expected to enter Taiwan and 1,500 spots were reserved.
1. Valid passport with a Visa for entry into Taiwan

Prior to boarding, please complete the online “Quarantine System for Entry” declaration. Be sure you fill the correct quarantine hotel address. The steps to filling out this form are as follows:
1. Visit Quarantine System for Entry
2. Fill out each field and ensure that all information provided is correct.
3. Enable the roaming service of your mobile device once you arrive Taiwan.
4. You will receive a link for the health declaration text (home quarantine notice) via SMS on your mobile device upon arrival at the airport.
5. Present the health declaration text (home quarantine notice) SMS for verification when you arrive at the station where the home quarantine notice is handed in.
Note: A Taiwan phone number is required during your quarantine period. To purchase a Taiwan SIM card, you may:
(1) place an order online, then the SIM card will be sent to you (You may take the risk of lost package while shipping). Please email all the required documents to the telecom agent via joe@sweetpl.com after making the payment for SIM card activation.
(2) purchase upon arrival at the airport. Please refer to Telecom Services at the airport

7. PCR test upon arrival
(Please make sure to fill in the email address correctly to facilitate the electronic report delivery)

1. Wash your hand thoroughly with soap and sanitize the doorknob with alcohol provided in your room.
2. Please make sure you do NOT leave the room during the quarantine period. Your meals will be delivered to your door. Please leave your rubbish in bags and spray with alcohol before leaving it outside your door.
3. Any deliveries in your name will be delivered by the hotel staff to your door. When ordering anything please be sure to specify that it be sent to the reception of your hotel.
4. Please measure your temperature twice a day, report it back on LINE 疫止神通(Disease Containment Expert)(https://lin.ee/oY1L00W). Please do so before 12pm noon every day for the entire 15 days of quarantine period. You can download and register LINE app here: https://line.me/en-US/download

5. If you have body temperature ⩾38 °C or any respiratory infections, please notify OGE (iss@tmu.edu.tw) and call Campus Security 02-2736 1100.
6. Keep a regular sleep schedule so TMU and government officers can get in contact with you the police will visit to investigate. Should any breach of quarantine rules and regulations be found you will be subject to the applicable fines and penalties.
