Eid Mubarak to all Muslim friends and family! Today, we celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Did you know that it is said that you cannot take medicine whilst fasting? This is actually a misconception – taking medicine during Ramadan is allowed and does not break the fast. In fact, it is encouraged to prioritize one’s health and well-being, even during this holy month.
Did you know Eid al-Fitr means “festival of breaking the fast”? This special day is a time for Muslims around the world to come together, enjoy feasts with loved ones, and exchange gifts. It’s a celebration of the end of a month-long period of fasting, prayer, and reflection, as well as a reminder to continue living a life of compassion, kindness, and generosity.
Did you know the start of Ramadan varies each year depending on the lunar calendar. In 2023, Ramadan began on April 23rd and lasted for 30 days, leading up to the celebration of Eid al-Fitr today.
May this day bring happiness, love, and peace to all of our lives. Once again, Eid Mubarak to everyone!
