Outcome of the Visit

This visit marks the first exchange between both parties. During the meeting, the potential for collaboration in education and research between Taipei Medical University (TMU) and four medical institutions in the Philippines was discussed:

  1. Academic exchanges and cooperation in research, teaching development, and medical training.
  2. A follow-up visit is planned for next year, during which more specific areas and topics of collaboration will be proposed.
  3. The Office of Business Development will offer support and cooperation opportunities for healthcare-related startup companies.
  4. Physicians from the hospitals will be invited to TMU to participate in the International Health Program and clinical internships.
  5. The College of Biomedical Engineering introduced potential areas for collaborative research.
