OGE hosts work permit and labor law workshop

To support international students in understanding the regulations related to working legally in Taiwan, the Office of Global Engagement (OGE) held its Labor Law Compliance Workshop every semester.
The session welcomed Megan Chiu, compliance specialist for foreign professionals. The workshop covered essential topics such as student work permits, the transition from study to employment, and residency regulations. Notably, this year’s session highlighted recent amendments to the Act for the Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professionals. The speaker detailed key updates affecting international students, specifically regarding job-seeking permits and APRC criteria.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for students to gain legal clarity and plan their professional journeys in Taiwan more effectively.
