To support international students in understanding the regulations related to working legally in Taiwan, the Office of Global Engagement (OGE) held its Labor Law Compliance Workshop every semester.

This semester’s session featured Professor Chieh-Hsi Wu, Principal Investigator of the Professionalization Project of Employment Counseling for International Students in Taiwan Higher Education. Professor Wu provided an insightful introduction to the Office of School to Work in Taiwan (OSWT), an initiative aimed at enhancing the employment opportunities for international students post-graduation.

The workshop also welcomed Megan Chiu, a leading expert in helping foreign professionals. Topics covered included student work permits, the comment system, and the Taiwan Employment Gold Card, giving attendees valuable information on the legal aspects of working and residing in Taiwan.

This workshop provided a great opportunity for students to gain clarity on labor laws and navigate their professional journey in Taiwan more effectively.
