2019 EU M-ERA.NET

Application deadline (Brussels time):

  1. For pre-proposals: 18 June 2019, 12:00 noon
  2. For full proposals: 19 November 2019, 12:00 noon

Duration of subsidy: multiyear research project (maximum: 3 years)

Grant categories from MOST:

  1. Principal Investigators allowance.
  2. Other items of grant, please refer to the operation guidelines for MOST research project grants

Maximum of budgeting: NT 3000,000/ per year. The amount of grant depends on MOST verification.

Research fields:

  1. Modeling for materials engineering and processing
  2. Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces
  3. High performance composites
  4. Functional materials
  5. New strategies for advanced material-based technologies in health applications
  6. Materials for additive manufacturing

2019 EU ERA-CVD Project

Application deadline: Rolling admission

Duration of subsidy: multiyear research project

Grant categories from MOST:

  1. Principal Investigators allowance.
  2. Other items of grant, please refer to the operation guidelines for MOST research project grants

Maximum of budgeting: NT 3000,000/ per year. The amount of grant depends on MOST verification.

Research fields:

Eligible research topics in this call can comprise hypertensive, ischemic, pulmonary heart diseases and diseases of pulmonary circulation, other forms of heart disease, diseases of arteries, arterioles and capillaries and congenital malformations of cardiac chambers and connections, rheumatic diseases and cardiac septa (analogues to ICD-10).

The following types of research are excluded from the call:

  1. Interventional clinical trials
  2. Building up of new cohorts, registries and/or biomaterial banks
  3. Cerebrovascular diseases
  4. Research that primarily leads to cardiovascular risk management. Risk management is understood as long term health improvement and/or coronary artery disease (CAD) prevention
  5. Conducting screenings.

Duration of subsidy: multiyear research project

  2. Overhead expenses.(No more than 8% of the direct costs)

  1. Regenerative medicine
  2. Diagnostics

2019 Preliminary Plan of EU

Application deadline: 30th April, 2019

Duration of subsidy: 1-2 years

Grant categories:

  1. Maximum of grant for each project from MOST will be NT 400,000 per year, including overhead expenses. (No more than 8% of the direct costs)
  2. Running expenses, including:
  • Hosting foreign scholars (EU partners only)
  • Consumables & Miscellaneous
  • Holding forums, workshops and seminars
  1. Overseas travel expenses. (to EU partnership countries only)
