Work Permit Information for Foreign Students
⚠️ International students who would like to work/intern in Taiwan are required to apply for work permission regardless of the place of employment.
⚠️ International students working without a work permit could be fined between NT$30,000 to NT$150,000. Students need to be aware that unauthorized employment could lead to deportation.
⚠️ If the contract type is “研究獎助生” (Research Scholarship Recipients), a work permit is not required. Please confirm your contract type with your supervisor or the Human Resources Office before starting.
