Employment policy on discrimination

TMU prohibits discrimination in recruitment, hiring, placement, evaluation, and promotion based on religion, sexuality, gender, and age.

Employment policy modern slavery

TMU is committed to compliance with the Taiwan government’s “Labor Standards Act” and prohibits forced labor, modern slavery, human trafficking, and child labor. No child under 18 may work in dangerous or hazardous conditions, and no person under 15 may be employed. Exceptions apply for those who have graduated from junior high school or have been approved by the government as safe for work. Employers of minors must keep consent letters from their legal guardians and age certificates on file.

Employment policy pay scale equity

TMU prohibits discrimination in wage payment based on gender or sexual orientation. Employees receive equal pay for equal work or equal value, with exceptions only for seniority, award and discipline systems, merit, or other non-discriminatory factors.
