Taipei Medical University Global Ambassador Program

Taipei Medical University Global Ambassador Program invites both local and international students to participate in fostering cross-cultural exchange, creating a friendly and open campus environment, and enhancing TMU’s global influence. Through this program, students will develop professional skills, expand their international perspectives and networks, and showcase TMU’s commitment to internationalization and multicultural integration.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Participants: All TMU students (local and international)
  • Language Proficiency: TOEIC 830, TOEFL iBT 85, IELTS 6.0, or equivalent. Students with proficiency in a third language and international students with Chinese language skills are a plus.
  • Personal Qualities: Proactive, responsible, courteous, attentive, and friendly
  • Service Duration: Minimum of one year
  • Pilot Program: April-August 2025, with the first official program starting in September 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Hosting International Guests: Assisting with airport pickups, campus tours, and visitor reception and adaptation
  • Supporting International Conferences and Events: Assisting in the preparation and management of international conferences and events
  • Organizing Cultural Activities: Planning campus cultural exchange events to promote multiculturalism
  • Social Media Promotion: Sharing TMU-related content on social platforms to enhance the university’s image
  • Mentoring New Students: Assisting with orientation and adaptation for incoming students
  • Knowledge Transfer: Guiding new student ambassadors to ensure the program’s continuity

Working Hours & Point System

Student Ambassadors can flexibly participate in various activities. Points will be accumulated upon task completion and reviewed each semester. Ambassadors who do not meet the required points will not be able to continue in the role. Activity details will be announced 1 to 4 weeks in advance, allowing students to choose tasks based on their academic schedule. (Some tasks are paid; others are voluntary.)

Each task leader will evaluate the ambassadors’ participation and overall performance. The program coordinator will review and finalize the points. Ambassadors with outstanding performance may be promoted to Senior Ambassadors and receive more challenging tasks and paid opportunities.

Training Program

Student Ambassadors will receive professional training, including international etiquette and English presentation skills, to ensure they are well-prepared for their role.

Eligibility & Dismissal Policy

Eligibility: Ambassadors may continue serving until graduation as long as they stay active and meet program requirements.

Dismissal Conditions:

  • Absence from training sessions
  • Failure to meet the minimum point requirement
  • Poor performance or inappropriate behavior
  • Cancelling assigned tasks without approval

Application Process

  • Submit Application: Complete the online application form and upload your CV (→ Application Form)
  • Interview: Selected applicants will be invited for an interview
  • Acceptance & Training: Complete the training program upon passing the interview
  • Deadline: Applications open now until April 15, 2025

  • CV: Include basic personal information, photo, education background, and personal experiences (in Chinese or English). Please also share your motivation and expectations for becoming a TMU Ambassador—creativity is welcome.
  • English proficiency certificate (or other language certificate) in PDF format
  • Academic transcript (most recent semester, PDF format)
  • File naming format: Name_Document (e.g., John Wang_CV)
