The Courage of Undergoing Metamorphosis — Taipei Medical University’s Graduation Season of 2024

TMU held the graduation ceremony on May 27^th, 2024, bringing together students, faculty, and families to mark this significant milestone.

“The concept of metamorphosis interprets best of TMU’s students,” shared by Ray-Jade Chen, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. TMU, a university highly focused on specialized fields, nurtures its students from their initial stages, much like caterpillars. The university provides the essential support and growth opportunities, preparing students to transform into butterflies, ready to contribute vibrantly to the medical field.

On behalf of graduates, Zhi-Chi Ye from the School of Medicine and Eugene Lalis Sy from the Graduate Institute of Data Science pledged their determination to uphold TMU’s core values of excellence, integrity, and global citizenship.

“We don’t have to become any great man but our true selves,” they encouraged all the graduating students as they proceed to different futures, “Choose the kind way and do our best walking along it as every global citizen should, and thus become the best version of ourselves.”
