Malaysian TMU alumnus Datuk Dr. Tang Yong Chew spent over a year preparing to establish a TMU alumni association in Malaysia. Close to 40 alumni attended the March event, which was attended by more than 300 guests.

The chapter president welcomed more new members to join the more than 50 Malaysian alumni, noting that the eldest member is 77 years old. The alumni association established offices on the 32nd floor of the Ibis KLCC Hotel in June 2018 to assist in recruiting students and provide alumni services. Besides connecting alumni, the chapter hopes to help alumni wanting to return to Malaysia by providing students with up-to-date information on relevant laws and opportunities to enhance their nation’s health services.
