TMU delegation visits Case Western Reserve University

TMU President Chien-Huang Lin was invited to the Cleveland, Ohio, campus of Case Western Reserve University to renew the university-level collaboration contract. During the two-day visit, the TMU delegation met with management of various key offices to discuss future research and collaboration directions. These cooperating units included the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center and departments of genetics and biomedical engineering as well as the colleges of engineering and medicine.

The TMU delegation visits the health education campus currently under construction.

The universities discussed future industry-university collaborations, and planned a review meeting on collaborative research projects with the Clinical & Translational Science Collaborative. CWRU review committee members and Vice Provost David Flesher also visited TMU in May.

TMU leaders visit University of Southern California

A TMU delegation visiting USC met with deans and other leaders of pharmacy, medicine and engineering programs. The two universities have a joint pharmacy degree contract, and the first TMU student will head to USC this year to join this program. The USC School of Pharmacy dean voiced confidence that the collaboration will proceed smoothly, and recommended expanding the contract to further promote exchanges between the two institutions. The TMU delegation also met with the deans of the schools of medicine and engineering to discuss future joint degree contracts and other research and educational collaboration possibilities.
