TMU Partners with DCT Japan to Pioneer Decentralized Clinical Trials in Taiwan

This collaboration aims to accelerate the development and application of innovative medicines and therapies for the advancement of global healthcare.

DCT Japan, renowned for its comprehensive clinical trial solutions from design to patient recruitment, brings advanced technology and extensive expertise of executing DCT to the partnership. Together with TMU’s research strengths, the two institutions will streamline decentralized clinical trials, expedite new treatment development, and achieve greater efficiency and precision.

Key areas of collaboration include:

• DCT Design and Implementation: Leveraging DCT Japan’s platform for remote data collection and analysis.
• Patient Recruitment and Management: Improving recruitment efficiency and fostering patient engagement through advanced digital tools.
• Data Management and Analysis: Ensuring data security and accuracy to validate findings and drive application.

Furthermore, TMU will integrate its Clinical Research Database (TMUCRD) with the TMU Biobank to provide robust data support for trials. This effort will reinforce TMU’s role in advancing long-term care and health promotion through collaborations with Taiwanese ICT industries. TMU also envisions pursuing additional international partnerships to contribute to the global medical research excellence.
