TMU signs Ochanomizu University pact, visits Nihon Pharmaceutical University

This spring TMU signed a university-level cooperation agreement with Ochanomizu University in Tokyo, discussing directions for future cooperation that will provide TMU students with another venue for overseas research and study.

Ochanomizu University was founded in 1875, and is known as one of Japan’s top public universities.

The two universities implemented student and research exchanges following discussions between nutrition and public health faculties. The March meeting confirmed bilateral cooperation and TMU’s delegation was invited for the signing ceremony at Ochanomizu University.

Nihon Pharmaceutical University faculty warmly welcome the TMU delegation with Taiwan flags

TMU officials visited Nihon Pharmaceutical University in March to strengthen a partnership formed in 2016. At that time, Nihon Pharmaceutical University Vice President Minoru Tsuzuki visited TMU with a delegation to sign the cooperation agreement. Since then, Nihon Pharmaceutical University professors and students have visited TMU. This visit was aimed at establishing further cooperation. Using student exchange as an example, in addition to the original courses, the internship period has been lengthened, and exchanges of TMU graduate students to Nihon Pharmaceutical University laboratories were also discussed. Professor Naoto Uramau from Nihon Pharmaceutical University will be visiting TMU with students in July, and this will further solidify cooperation between the two universities.
