研究簡介

The severity of sleep apnea has traditionally been measured in sleep labs, but the accuracy of these in-hospital measurements has been brought into question by recent research by thoracic and sleep medicine expert Dr. Wen-Te Liu. Dr. Liu, also an expert in artificial intelligence, is now working to integrate sleep science with IoT connected devices, cloud-based AI processing, physical and environmental sensing, and a large patient database, to build a comprehensive system for monitoring, predicting, and treating sleep disorders. The system is made possible by technological and processing advances, and is set to move monitoring and treatment of sleep disorders out of the hospital and into the home – a paradigm shift that will streamline doctors’ workflow and improve patient outcomes.
