International Dance Night

Let’s dance! Here’s a great opportunity for you to show your talent, which could become one of your best memories at TMU.

International Dance Night is an event designed to welcome all students (both international and domestic). It’s time for you to express your talents and display your cultures with pride.

Competition Rules:
* Awards: Gold-NTD 8,000,Sliver-NTD 5,000,Bronze -NTD 3,000
* One country can have more than one performance and a maximum of 15 people. We also welcome a solo dancer.  All performer should be registered TMU students.
* Due to the time limitation, only 8 performances time slots are allowed. If there are more than 8 application groups, Office of Global Engagement will depend on the performance description to determine the final 8 groups to perform in “International Dance Night”.
*The representative/leader from the group shall join all scheduled meeting with OGE to make sure the entire event flow and further details. Representatives need to make sure the quality and the performance of their teammates in order to win and get the prize.

Cultural Booth

Each noon at the Lobby of Front Comprehensive Medical Building, the country/cultural group representative(s) will share their art, music, games, or photographs.

International Cultural Booths Rules:
Members from each country are required to work together to provide the following for the event.
1) A high-quality photograph printed and presented/framed horizontally that bests represent your country with an accompanying caption (no more than 25 words) that briefs the viewer on the image itself and the rationale behind its selection. 1-3 hashtags are required.
2) 3 interesting facts about your country that are not well known (Ex. The UK is home to the world’s longest pier)
3) For the 3rd part of your display, pick 3-4 from the following subjects, you will provide one photo and one caption for each.
– Traditional Food  – Clothing  – Festival  – Transportation
– Architecture  – Famous People  – Art, Dance, Music, Film…etc.
4) Prepare a fun and interactive game (make sure that it is quick and easy for one unfamiliar with it to understand)
5) Decorate your table and either arrive in your uniform or the traditional clothing of your country.
6) 1-2 members of each country need to be at the booth for 4 days at 12pm-1pm (Nov 27,30 and Dec 1,2) It is encouraged to come before 12:00 to decorate your table. Lunch is provided.
**Participants will vote and the winners of this event will receive $5,000 NTD with the runner up receiving $3,000 NTD. The 3rd place will receive $1,000 NTD.

International Food Festival

Are you a foodie? Do you like to cook and share with your friends?

Now it is the chance to show your culture through sharing food and your secret talents with TMU. We encourage you to team up with your friends and represent your country.

We are looking for 15 country representative teams to join us to organize the upcoming 2020 International Food Festival .

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
* There is only one representative team for each country. Please select a representative/leader from the team.
* Due to the space limitation, only 15 teams are allowed to set up a stall. If there are more than 15 application teams, Office of Global Engagement will depend on the dishes description to determine the final 15 teams to attend the “International Food Festival”.
* Best Popular Award: Gold-NTD 5,000,Sliver-NTD 3,000,Bronze -NTD 1,000
* Each representative team will get 50 NTD for a vote.
* The representative/leader from the team will have meeting with us to make sure the entire event flow and further details.

Remark:
* Listed items will be provided by OGE: 3m x 3m tent, table*2, chair*2, electricity, one country sign.
* Free booth registration fee for TMU student.
* Participants are responsible for the cost of cookware, tableware and food ingredients.
