I hold both foreign nationality and the Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality

I once held the People’s Republic of China (PRC) nationality but hold foreign nationality now.

I hold both foreign nationality (British National (Overseas) is excepted) and permanent residency of Hong Kong or Macao.

You are eligible to apply to NTU as an International Student, but you need to provide supported proof:

(1)Certificate of Entry and Exit dates
(2)Non-household registration declaration form

In order to verify that you do not hold nor have held household registration in Taiwan and that you have never stayed in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau or Mainland China for more than a total of 120 days for any of the above reasons please provide a certificate for one of the following items:

(1)Overseas youth training courses organized by the Overseas Compatriot Affairs Council or technique training classes accredited by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan
Overseas youth training courses organized by the Overseas Compatriot Affairs Council or technique training classes accredited by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan
(3)Exchange students in Taiwan, whose length of total exchange is less than 2 years
(4)An internship in Taiwan which has been approved by an authorized central government agency, of which the total length of stay is less than 2 years.
(5)Permanent residency in either Hong Kong or Macau (time spent in Hong Kong or Macau is not counted towards the 120 days)

Unfortunately, you are not eligible to apply to NTU as an International Student. As per the MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan, you meet one of the following conditions

1. Your Permit Certificate of Nationality Loss will have been issued for less than eight years when NTU classes begin/the semester starts*
2. You have a household registration record in Taiwan
3. Within the last six years before the semester starting date, you have stayed in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao or Mainland China** for more than a total of 120 days*** in one calendar year

You are eligible to apply to NTU as an International Student, but you need to provide supported proof:

(1)Certificate of Entry and Exit dates
(2)Non-household registration declaration form
