In July 2023, Taipei Medical University (TMU) signed an MOU with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of British Columbia (UBC), represented by Professor Shyh-Dar Li.

Jing-Ping Liou, Dean of TMU College of Pharmacy, and Professor Shyh-Dar Li officially signed the MOU, expecting to foster more exchange programs on both sides. Currently, two students from the College of Pharmacy have received subsidies from Taiwan’s Ministry to go to UBC for internships. In terms of academic research, Liou collaborated with Li and Assistant Professor Anna Blakney doing research related to lipid-based drug delivery.

Approaching the end, Li delivered a speech on “Enabling Novel Therapies for Orphan Diseases and Neglected Health Challenges through Innovating Drug Delivery” which got enthusiastic responses from students, bringing the ceremony to a perfect conclusion.
