On February 22nd 2024, dietitians-to-be from TMU’s College of Nutrition celebrated Dietitian’s Day with pupils from Taipei Municipal Xinyi Elementary School by dancing the “My Plate” dance.

Originated from 1999, the first Dietitian’s Day was celebrated on February 22nd as the number 2 sounds like “hungry” in Mandarin, implying the significance of all the dietitians’ devotions to public health.

The USR (University Social Responsibility) team from the TMU College of Nutrition has a long-standing collaborative relationship with Xinyi Elementary School to promote the concept of healthy eating. Thus far, the TMU USR team has conducted more than ten lectures at Xinyi Elementary School and established a class to guide pupils in cultivating proper eating habits and acquiring accurate nutrition knowledge.

The TMU College of Nutrition USR team shared that having proper and accurate nutrition knowledge can greatly elevate one’s health condition and further improve overall quality of life. They also expressed their commitment to continuing their current efforts and striving towards a world with better health.
