TMU Healthcare System Recognized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare

In February 2024, TMU Healthcare System’s unreserved efforts in realizing justice in healthcare and excellent medical service got recognition on the National Healthcare Quality Award (NHQA) by Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare.


TMU Healthcare system has achieved 27 awards, including TMU Hospital being honored for improving medical service quality for 20 consecutive years; Shuang Ho Hospital receiving the Smart Hospital award; and WanFang Hospital winning the “Simulated Scenario” 2nd Prize. Additionally, TMU Executive Vice President Kuan Yu Hung was awarded the “Quality Elder” award. These awards underscore TMU Healthcare system’s steadfast commitment to enhancing medical quality and delivering exceptional performance in value-based healthcare.

Mai-Szu Wu, the President of TMU, noted that elevating the quality of healthcare service has become more important than ever and that TMU Healthcare System would keep promoting digital transformation in hospitals and value-based healthcare to fulfill TMU’s mission of caring for public health.

This year, TMU Healthcare System presents a new AI era by integrating medical sources of its three affiliated hospitals through HIS 3.0. The integration streamlines modular and standard administrative procedures. “Our ultimate objective is to fully apply cutting-edge AI technology to TMU Healthcare System, thereby realizing the vision of TMU One Campus, a unified hub that provides comprehensive digital and automated medical cloud service,” President Wu remarked.

TMU Hospital won awards for its high quality and efficiency in medical service while TMU Shuang Ho Hospital earned the title of Smart Hospital regarding its medical resource management. Additionally, TMU Wanfang Hospital is recognized for its efficient emergency procedure.
